Boomerang Effect

From MSNBC:
Is he faking it? Moreover, who cares?

I'm sure many folks will be inclined to give Limbaugh the same compassion and respect he displayed toward Michael J. Fox.

What goes around comes around.

Truth to the Point

I just love James Carville:

"Wild-Eyed Mob: If you ask me, 2010 is going to be the knockdown, drag out campaign of all time. Tea bag wing nuts, delusional birthers and all sorts of right-wingers are frothing at the mouth about the President's agenda for moving America forward and swimming in cash from some of the country's biggest corporate interests. Their all consuming obsession is to take down President Obama and take over Congress by any means necessary. We know Republicans have zero interest in taking on the big challenges facing America."

The statement comes via Carville from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), and couldn't be more right on the money.

Denial Mission

The pathetic truth from the White House blog, dated 24 December 2009 and written by White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer:

Once the [healthcare] bill hit the Senate floor, Republicans passed up the chance to offer constructive amendments. Instead they chose to obstruct votes and offer six separate motions to essentially start from scratch.

The sad truth is that Congressional Republican leaders decided early on that their best move was to "delay, define, and derail" reform – not to find common ground on a bill both parties could support. They made clear their hopes that health insurance reform would be President Obama’s "Waterloo" and that it would "break him" politically.

In the process, they lost sight of the fact that this was never about President Obama – it was about the families struggling to keep up with skyrocketing premiums; the small businesses forced to choose covering employees and staying afloat; the 15,000 Americans who lost insurance every day this year. Today's vote was a victory for them.

It's the bitter and embarrassing truth.

Anyone rallying for the GOP in their demented mission of denial should be ashamed to call themselves true Americans.

Blither Blather

This man will go bitter to his grave over last year's election loss:
The "Maverick" dogs the President at every turn, no matter what the issue is. If Obama said the sky was blue, McCain would claim it was red. The man is as obvious in his resentment as the day is long.

McCain's fake smile abounds, but what has he really accomplished since the election besides a load of codswallop rooted in jealousy and bitter disappointment?

Posturing Anew

And it continues:
Does the GOP think drastic statements validate their "concern" about healthcare reform? That if they are willing "lay down in traffic to stop the bill" that their opposition has genuine merit? Perhaps in the minds of those easily swayed, but not with the general public.

Where was the GOP when thousands upon thousands were queuing for the free healthcare clinics?

The right-wing's only interest is in protecting insurance company profits, and therefore their own pockets, rather than the welfare of the American people.

In the Dark

These people are desperately uninformed and nonsensical:
On the other hand, their lack of real knowledge is embarrassing which in turn makes them scary. They actually believe what they spew.

Money Pit

Here we go:
I'm of the opinion that institutions suddenly paying back Uncle Sam think such actions will justify their multi-million-dollar executive bonuses.

In other words, now that they've repaid their federal debt they can begin the process anew that helped get us into an economic mess in the first place.

Right Wing Bubble

Is it just me, or is the lack of right-wing purpose growing instead of dissipating?
Good grief – the GOP needs to get over it, already!

Grains of Duplicity

Oh, the hypocrisy of it:
Where was the GOP during the Bush years? Off in la-la land with their heads buried in the sand?
